PUTNEY, VT. – November 1, 2005 – Landmark College is working with other organizations in the greater New England region to celebrate World Usability Day on November 3. World Usability Day is being organized through the Usability Professionals' Association, and will be the first annual event dedicated to increasing public awareness of the importance of usability — designing products and services that are easy to learn and intuitive to use.
Colleges, communities, and businesses across the world will be holding multiple events on November 3. A focal point of interest for participants in the Vermont/New Hampshire region will be a conference held at Dartmouth College. Landmark College and Dartmouth College are jointly organizing the conference, which is entitled 'World Usability Day New England: Universal Usability for Teaching and Learning.'
The conference will feature presentations, posters, and demonstrations of how technology and information can be developed to support the learning processes of all types of learners. World Usability Day now has participation from over 80 locations in over 30 countries.
