An Evening of Poetry and Music with Wyn Cooper

PUTNEY, VT—November 13, 2003—Poet Wyn Cooper will be reading selections from his poetry accompanied by musicians Ben Mitchell and Charlie Schneeweiss at Landmark College's Greenhoe Theater in the Fine Arts Building on Wednesday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Cooper is best known for his poem “Fun,” which was turned into Sheryl Crow’s Grammy award winning song, “All I Wanna Do.” His most recent work is Forty Words for Fear, a cd of songs based on his poems and lyrics, set to music by novelist Madison Smartt Bell. He has published three collections of poems, and has a fourth book coming out from BOA Editions in 2005. His poems are included in 20 anthologies of contemporary poetry, and in more than 50 magazines.

Please join us for a creative evening of poetry, music, and musings from Cooper on his collaborative process as an artist. The event is free. For more information please call (802) 387-6712.
