The Landmark College Institute for Research and Training received a 3-year grant (2001-2004) from the National Science Foundation to develop a method of teaching science to students with learning disabilities.
Biology Success! was a unique and innovative project, which demonstrated that students with learning disabilities can succeed in high school and college introductory biology courses when the curriculum has been designed to respond to their learning needs. View some of the materials >>
Landmark College faculty members worked with science educators from several collaborating high schools and colleges to:
• Develop the curriculum;
• Provide summer development sessions for faculty;
• Field-test teaching modules;
• Assess available CD-ROM and online products; and
• Provide access to the Teaching Manual, through Landmark College's web site and print media.
