The Wilson Introductory Workshop: Applications is a 15-hour (3-day) workshop that provides the practice and guidance needed to effectively begin implementing the Wilson Reading System in an Intervention Model Setting. The Intervention Model targets students beyond grade 3 who are reading or spelling below grade level. It is implemented in small groups and reading classes in the general education classroom, after-school programs, literacy and adult education settings. The workshop introduces the general program concepts and provides instruction in the lesson plan format targeted for a group setting. This 3-day workshop presents multisensory structured language principles and techniques of the WRS program. It provides hands-on and practical training to teachers implementing the WRS. The Introductiory Workshop: Applications fulfills the prerequisite requirement for all other WRS professional development required to join Wilson Academy. Participants also qualify to receive one graduate credit at an additional cost of $150. If you are interested in graduate credit, please call Endicott College directly at 978-232-2199.
