Any Special Accommodations Needed?

Credit for Coursework

I would like to earn graduate credits for the selected course(s) (cost $135 per credit; see course description for details). The crediting authority is Union Institute & University. Credits earned are transferable only at the discretion of the receiving school, pursuant to Vermont Statutes Annotated, Title XVI, Statute 176, Sec. 1 (c) (1) (C).

Upon submission of this form, a confirmation page will display with your submission. You will also receive a confirmation letter from the Landmark College Institute for Research and Training office requesting payment. Payment is due by check or credit card.

Course Cancellations

Payment for LCIRT courses is due four weeks before the course starts.  If payment is not received by this date, we will not be able to hold a place for the participants, and we do not count the participants as officially enrolled.

LCIRT courses must meet a minimum enrollment figure in order for the course to run.  If we don’t reach our minimum enrollment of paid participants by two weeks before the start of the course, we will cancel the class.  We will refund full tuition to those who have paid for registration.

Participant Withdrawals

If a registered participant withdraws more than two weeks prior to the start of a course, he/she will receive a full refund of tuition and housing costs.  If a participant withdraws less than two weeks before the start of the course he/she may receive credit towards another workshop, but tuition and housing fees will not be refunded.

Accommodations Policy

As an institution dedicated to the education of students with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders, the Landmark College Institute for Research and Training (LCIRT) fully supports and recognizes the standards set forth in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and similar state laws (“applicable law”), which are designed to eliminate discrimination against individuals with disabilities.

LCIRT is committed to providing reasonable and appropriate accommodations to otherwise qualified individuals with documented disabilities and to making our offerings accessible as required by applicable law.  LCIRT cannot make accommodations that are unduly burdensome or that fundamentally alter the nature of its programs.

Guidelines for requesting accommodations:

  • It is the responsibility of the student or workshop participant to make LCIRT aware of a documented disability and the need for accommodation(s).
  • Requests for accommodations should be made to LCIRT’s ADA Coordinator when registering for a course or workshop, but not less than three weeks before the start of the program for which accommodations are requested.
  • The ADA Coordinator will review the request for accommodations and respond within a reasonable time, normally within a week, but not less than two weeks before the start of the program
  • The ADA Coordinator may provide the specific accommodation(s) requested, may offer alternative accommodation(s), or may deny the request if it can be demonstrated that the cost would place an undue financial burden on LCIRT, if the student poses a substantial risk of harm to him/herself or others, or if such accommodation(s) would fundamentally alter the way LCIRT operates.
