examination. There are undoubtedly many

people with learning disabilities. Please

Software for Organizing Ideas — Helps students create visual maps to outline ideas and then turns those graphic displays into Roman-numeral outlines. Inspiration Software.
Voice Recognition Software (dictation, speech recognition) — Eliminates typing and spelling errors by recording user's voice and turning it into text. Dragon Naturally Speaking. One example is here
Text Reader (speech synthesizer, optical character recognition) — Enables user to hear text on computer screen spoken aloud. Uses a computer (synthesized) voice; scans or imports text;
aids decoding; improves decoding and fluency; reads back what's been typed in, to assist in revision of writing. Kurzweil
Word prediction is a feature found in writing software programs that helps the writer to complete words or to select the next word from a list of possibilities. Word prediction works best when it is trained to recognize words commonly used by the writer. Programs such as Kurzweil 3000 or the writing programs by Don Johnston include word prediction.
