Mathematics Faculty
The Mathematics Faculty position will carry the title of either Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, in line with the College's standards of Faculty Rank and may have the opportunity to serve as Mathematics Department Chair, reporting to the Academic Dean. The primary responsibility will be teaching core mathematics curriculum including Calculus I and II and Statistics. The position is responsible for ensuring high quality classroom instruction and assisting in developing curriculum and pedagogical practices that are consistent with the mission and goals of the College and the overall educational program. The anticipated start date is fall 2008.
Qualifications: The position requires a minimum of a master’s degree in mathematics and the preference for a PhD in Education, as well. Excellent communication, organizational, and management skills are critical. Experience and an understanding of the nature of specific learning disabilities and attention disorders is a plus.
Director of Judicial Affairs
The Director of Judicial Affairs serves as the primary hearing officer for the College, and is responsible for managing the disciplinary and conduct process, promoting and maintaining student’s rights and responsibilities and upholding behavioral expectations and community standards. The Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing informal resolution and mediation procedures. The Director reports to the Dean of Students, who serves as the Chief Judicial Officer for the College. This is a 12 month, full time position.
Responsibilities of the position include: Review all incident reports submitted to the Dean's Office to determine appropriate action. Meet with students who have allegedly violated the student code of conduct to ascertain their levels of involvement. Adjudicate cases and assign educational sanctions as appropriate. Maintain files on all disciplinary cases and informational incident reports and track all sanctions & sanction compliance. Chair the College Conduct Board. Develop and manage community service programs and student participation related to disciplinary sanctions. Collaborate with other campus offices to develop and present educational seminars each semester regarding student expectations and academic integrity for members of community, new student orientation, and other groups as necessary. Remain up to date on legal issues in higher education and their relevance to campus judicial practices.
Qualifications: Master's degree preferred, BA required with record of increasing responsibility in the management of college policy adjudication. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Understanding of legal issues in higher education. Strong commitment to confidentiality
Recruitment Coordinator
The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance to all members of the Enrollment Services team to include the areas of correspondence, records, data entry, mailings and other tasks as assigned. A primary emphasis will be on, development of recruitment initiatives that are supported by the Office of Enrollment Services. Works with the, VP of Enrollment, Director of Admissions & Manager of Enrollment Services to ensure support staff implement and deliver superior customer service. Assists with the development and production of recruitment initiatives, planning, coordinating and implementation of on campus recruitment events and coordinating and implementation of all recruitment travel, conferences, and activities.
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Superior organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility and the ability to maintain a sense of the overall mission of the Enrollment Services office. The ability to work efficiently, responding to multiple priorities with grace and composure. Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data entry skills required. Strong background in Desktop Publishing and publication design software programs required. Professional etiquette is essential as the position entails frequent contact with parents, students, faculty, and senior staff of the College. A commitment to confidentiality is essential.
Director of the Academic Assistence unit (AAU) - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Director, AAU is a senior level manager, charged with overall responsibility for the development, leadership, and management of the Academic Assistance Unit (AAU) including all aspects of its operations. The Director serves as the chief advocate and representative for the programs and activities of the AAU, communicating effectively with administrators, policy makers, the greater academic community and the area community to ensure that the objectives of the AAU are understood and achieved. The Director supervises the Education Specialist and other staff employed within the AAU and manages a budget supporting the operations of the AAU. The Director participates in the design of and implements a comprehensive professional development program for the Saudi Arabian college educators/staff, with the ultimate goal of establishing the skills and competencies required of the college employees for independent operation of the AAU. The Director may provide direct services to students with learning challenges, including coursework support, individualized instructional support, advising, and skills and strategies development. Landmark College will provide intensive training for the Director at our campus in Putney, Vermont.
Qualifications: a Master’s degree and at least five years of teaching and/or advising experience with students with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, and other specific learning disabilities. A PhD. is strongly preferred. Experience working with students from other cultures, and familiarity with issues associated with ESL and ELL is necessary, as is an understanding of Universal Design for Instruction principles and how they apply to the curriculum and classroom setting. An understanding of attention-based learning challenges, executive function, ability to provide direct support to students with such challenges, train others in providing such support, and familiarity with assistive technologies such as Kurzweil and Dragon is necessary.
A progressive record of accomplishment in teaching and educational administration; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the capacity to collaborate with senior level administrators, policy makers, and others; the ability to facilitate and lead group processes and make professional presentations to different audiences; strong leadership, supervisory, organizational, and time-management skills; the ability to work effectively with confidential and sensitive information. Requires the ability to function effectively in an international setting. Basic proficiency in Arabic desirable but not required.
After training at the Landmark College campus, the position will be located at a university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. International travel between Saudi Arabia and the United States is required. The assignment is anticipated to last at least one year, with a possible extension. Upon conclusion of the assignment, you will be repatriated back to your country of origin.

Educational Specialist- Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Education Specialist provides direct services to students with learning challenges, including coursework support, individualized instructional support, advising, and skills and strategies development. The Education Specialist assists the Director in the professional development of Saudi Arabian educators and staff in operating the AAU. The Educational Specialist provides individualized instructional support to students using the AAU, including coursework support and discrete skills development in the areas of writing, reading, study skills, and technology/AT skills, and assists students in the process of self-understanding and the development of self advocacy skills.
Qualifications: a Master’s degree and at least three years of teaching and/or advising experience with students with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, and other specific learning disabilities. A PhD. is preferred. Experience working with students from other cultures, and familiarity with issues associated with ESL and ELL is necessary, as is an understanding of Universal Design for Instruction principles and how they apply to the curriculum and classroom setting.
